Fight hostile ingredients and cook their corpses to make a meal and satisfy your hungry customers!

Controls:

Use the arrow keys or WASD to move the chef around the screen

Use the spacebar to attack the veggies

Stand near the cooking stations and use E/Q to interact with interactives to chop and cook your meals

U to consume items and heal (+2 for cooked, +1 for uncooked, -1 for burnt)

Use numbers to select different slots in inventory

Use +/= to restart your game

Use "M" to mute

Use the "esc" key to access to main menu


Week 13 updates (11/22/20024)

- Added soup and salads to the game which can be created using the stovetop and countertop

- Added endless mode where the game only ends once you die

-No more attacking or moving while eating

-No attacking while chopping and shorter chopping time

- items in the inventory are now selected using numbers

Week 9 updates (10/25/24):

- Added healing mechanic for consuming foods

- Added visual inventory

- Updated timing and UI for better gameplay 


Week 8 updates (10/18/24):

-Added potato enemy type that moves around without a target

-Added visuals to stovetop and cutting board to represent the ingredients and the stages of cooking they are in

-Players now flash red when hit

-Player now interacts with the closest work station

-inventory now cycles items


Week 7 updates (10/11/24):

- Added different onion enemy types with different movement patterns and added them to orders

- shrunk attack range

- moved enemy spawns outside

- Added hp to UI, changed UI colors

- fixed enemy to player damage

- Added invulnerability frames after taking damage

- Removed enemy and player collision


Week 6 updates (10/4/24):

- Added work stations for cooking including a cutting board, stovetop, and trash can

- Added an orders station to see what customers want

- Added timer for the game, inventory, and scoring system based on order fulfillment and correctness. Also created UI to track these features

- Added random enemy spawning 

- Added floor design


Week 5 updates (9/27/24):

- Added animations to chef

- Added combat features to the game, including a health bar for the carrot.
